Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda was born to. The family of Late Alhaji Umaru Barebarin Radda on 12 December 1964 from the defunct Dutsinma LGA Katsina state. She is a royal family member, a grand daughter of Amina Radda the daughter of Sarkin Katsina Muhammadu Dikko. Her father Alhhaji Umaru Radda is the son of Sarkin Muduru Muhammad Na Kadi at the old Mani LGA all in Katsina state.
She obtained her first school leaving certificate from Radda Primary School. She attended GGSS Kankia for her post primary education, then proceeded to kaduna Polytechnic where she obtained a Basic certificate in banking and an Intermediate Certificate in Insurance .
She is the founder of: Political Groups:
– Tinubu Dikko consultative forum
– Gwagware women consultative forum
– Dikko Jobe consultative forum
Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda also runs a philanthropic organization called Hauwa Radda Muassasatul khairiya, a foundation that is committed to assisting Orphans, internally displaced persons, religious groups and other vulnerable members of society.
The foundation from inception to date is rendering humanitarian services such as; donation of food items, clothing materials empowerment programmes as well as sensitization and awareness campaigns to mention but a few.
It is a known fact that the giant strides of Hajiya Hauwa Radda in the areas of Philanthropic and political activities has accorded her a respect and regards from all and sundry to the extend that many Associations, political and religious organizations are proud to be associated with her. These and many more had made her to be a champion of the less privileged, a mother, a mentor and a role model worthy of emulation by all.
With regards to family life Hajiya Hauwa Radda has six children, she was first married to late Senator Tukur Yusuf Ajiya Bakori who is the Father of her eldest male Son Alhaji Muktar Tukur Ajiya Bakori , the current Ajiyan Bakori and also married to late President Umar Musa Yar,adua in 1992 with whom she has two children Ibrahim Umar Yar,adua and Musa Umar Yar,adua.
Hajiya Hauwa Radda is the elder Sister and Guardian to the Gwagwaren Katsina and the incumbent Governor of Katsina state, Malam Dikko Umar Radda PhD.

On the of part political life Hajiya Hauwa Radda is a grassroot politician who ventures into politics in 1989 and contested for the seat of Rimi Local Government chairperson under the platform of National Republican convention NRC.

OVER VIEW ON SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES OF MU,ASSASATUL KHAIRIYA FOUNDATION
Mu,assasatul khairiya is a pet Project founded by Hajiya Hauwa Radda with a view to rendering humanitarian services.
The foundation stated when Malam Dikko Umar Radda was elected as the Katsina state Gubernatorial flag bearer of All progressive Congress APC with a name”Dikko/Jobe consultative forum”. when Malam Dikko Umar Radda emerged the duly elected Governor of Katsina state, the forum metamorphosed into Mu, assasatul khairiya out of the desire of Hajiya Hauwa Radda to continue rendering humanitarian services.The foundation is duly registered and also posses all the required criteria to operate as Nongovernmental organization after which it continue touching the lives of people positively through various activities.
The activities of Mu, assasatul khairiya are to among other things include:
✓ Construction of mosques and provisions of facilities needed for worship, for example the foundation constructed mosques at Fakuwa in Kankia local Government and Lambar Rimi in Rimi Local Government with a provision of sound systems, Cattles, Rubber mats and copies of holy Qur,an.
✓Visited IDP camp at GGSS Jibiya and provided assistance of food items such as bags of rice, Maiza and Guineacorn .
✓Distributed bags of rice to the members of the foundation across the 34 local Governments of Katsina state as well as hundred bags each to many Associations.
✓Counseled and rehabilitated ten women involved in prostitution in collaboration with HISBAH after which the foundation trained them on skills and provided them with resettlement kits such as sewing machines, grinding machines and noodle making machine and one hundred thousand naira capital to each in addition to reintegrating them to their respective families.
✓ provisions of copies of Holy Quran, mats, sounds systems and the cattles to various mosques as well as assistance to islamiya Schools.
✓Distribution of prepared food to less privileged and needy.
✓Assistance to inmates at correctional centres.
✓Provision of Free medical outreach programme to intending pilgrims and other vulnerable members of society.
✓The foundation also engaged in daily feeding programme to Orphans, needy and vulnerable members of society.

These are some but not all the activities of Mu, assasatul khairiya foundation of Hajiya Hauwa Radda which has its Office at No 7 Umaru Musa Yar,adua Road behind New Government House Katsina and the activities are of continues basis.
